'Come to yourself with love' and watch the anxiety fall away - The waters from Lake Mansarover near Mt Kailash

A parcel arrived today..I had given up on it.

Whilst in Lhasa, Tibet I had met some amazing mountaineers who have climbed most places in the world, they were going to Mt Kailash and Lake Mansarover. I had asked if they could send me the holy waters and had given up on the idea so was pleasantly lifted by this surprise.

The waters have huge spiritual connations. Today I drank this water and consider myself very blessed to have received it. A little description about its significance is indicated below.

According to Hindu religion, the lake was first created in the mind of the Lord Brahma.[1] Hence, in Sanskrit it is called "Manas sarovara", which is a combination of the words manas (mind) and sarovara (lake). It is also believed the Devas descend to bathe in the lake between 3 and 5 am the time of the day known as Brahma Muhurta. The holy Mansarovar Lake is also known as the highest fresh water body in the world, falling south of Mt. Kailash at an approx altitude of 14,950 ft above sea level

Buddhists also associate the lake to the legendary lake known as Anavatapta in Sanskrit and Anotatta in Pali, where Queen Maya is believed to have conceived Buddha.

I will share this gift with all those who partake in 'Experience the centre' retreats, for as long as it lasts. Its a treasure to be shared.
